Here here, this was utterly shameful. And there are those who say the Queen's power is merely symbolic.

They say that when the ravens leave the tower of London the monarchy will fall. I want to be there shooting the fucking ravens. There's no place for the Ruritanian nonsense of the monarchy in the modern world. Bollocks to 'em.

kkk, you fucking commie...

Kerr was a drunken fool, but dismissing Goof Witless was the best thing he ever did, and he did it on the advice of the Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia, something other clueless communists tend to forget....

Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia,

Sir Garfield Barwick, if i recall. first class fascist, and stout defender of the small-minded australian establishment of that time. i can't recall him ever being elected to his position ...

yeah, we aussies are still political babies, it seems. we still need to hold onto the queen's apron strings.

but then, just look what happened to indonesia when they threw out their colonisers? results speak for themselves. i think indonesia should apologise to the dutch for the independence war, and demand that they return forthwith!

Correct, and the CJ doesn't need to be elected because he doesn't make political decisions, he gives legal opinions, such as what are the extent of the G-G's powers; the judiciary is actually an extension of the government in democratic societies you filthy commie heathen...
