Ok, so this is the light subject. Which place is your favourite place to go. And place you unlikely want to go. explain the reason. Share your opinion.

I love bali the most, i would always like to go there for refreshing my mind. You can do everything in Bali. But i wouldn't like to live there, i don't know. Bali is better for holiday.

I don't like to go to KL, its very boring and awkward.

i know dilli loves his pattaya, whatabout a place that you really hate dill?

what's your opinion?

Tahiti. If I had the bank balance and a huge yacht. And I could sail of course.

Bangladesh - some of India and the vast majority of China (once seen never forgotten)

My Chinese Toilet (which was actually quite nice compared to many)

Kauai if I have some $$. Beautiful beach, perfectly blue water, not many tourists in sight, hugeeee rainbow, many waterfalls. Ideal place for a honeymoon.

I wouldn't want to visit certain places in China.. ever.. again..

Stratford Upon Avon. No other place (that I have visited or seen in the pictures) is closest to pictures you see in your fairy tale books. Dont want to live there, though.

And of course BALI smile Dont mind living there

Place I dont want to visit again ever? Hmm.. tough one. Probably none.

well, for. pango pango was a little village where i stayed in vanuatu -- then called the new hebrides -- on my very first overseas trip. i was only 18 at the time, and had not really figured out this overseas travel stuff, like the fact you can't hitch back home and that a return air ticket is required.

subsequently, i was deported 3 weeks after arrival. free ticket!! wuhu!!

this is the passport i made and used to go to the new hebrides.

anyway, it was a terrific experience, living with the natives, fishing with the village kids, getting drunk, making kites, eating exotic foods, helping out in their jungle gardens, singing harmonies in their church ...

powerful stuff for an 18-year-old from the west coast on his own for the first time in a truly foreign country ...

OK, my turn. Fave places to visit, well Port Moresby sounded scary place to visit but it'd be nice to visit PNG again (Air Niugini, if you read this, please consider to reduce your airfare. thanks!) This time might be Alotau.

Madrid will be on top of the list. Fiji's also on the list.

Ah, Solo will always be lovely place to visit. Went there couple of times in my childhood. Quiet place, fresh air, first time shopping in javanese language in the traditional market, mangkunegaran palace (don't know if they allow you to visit its museum now), njurug zoo, fresh bread from my auntie's next house, sego liwet, es goreng (fried ice), and so on.

Place I don't want to go...hmm... perhaps Jayapura. Prefer to be in Moresby than being in Jayapura.

This thread reminds me of the book, Oh the places you'll go...Dr. Seuss

Here are some phrases from the book.

On and on you will hike
and I know you'll hike far
and face up to your problems
whatever they are.

You'll get mixed up, of course,
as you already know.
You'll get mixed up
with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
and remember that Life's
a Great Balancing Act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.

Most memorable for me........

Big Island of Hawaii, hiking up Mt. Kilauea. We hiked up and went off to unmarked trail saw incredible sight, moving lava only yards away from us.
Regret that I did not bring any metal stick that I could use to poke the lava as ‘oleh-oleh or memento’. Well, might as well, cause I heard PELE, the guardian of Mt. Kilauea would be mad if I did.

Parisians are interesting people, standoffish kind. Knowing how to speak French, definitely one step ahead (which I can't damn it! even after putting hours into Berlitz, what tongue-twister).

I wasn't there for very long only one week, not enough to soak anything French! but wish I was.
Now that I had just finished reading a novel, C'est le vie written by Susan Gershwin. American woman decided to move and live in France. I may decide to pour my energy into Berlitz.
Tais-toi !
