43 lines of business for micro, small and medium businessmen

Jakarta (Antara News) - The government has declared 43 lines of business of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs under presidential regulation No 77/2007 closed and open with certain requirements.

"In addition to lines of business for micro, small and medium intrepreneurs, there is a part of the businesses that is open to big businessmen to participate if they are forging cooperation with micro, small and medium businessmen," Trade Minister Marie E Pangestu said here on Wednesday.

Mari made the remarks when announcing the list of closed and open businesses with requirements together with Economic Coordinating Minister Boediono, Investment Coordinating Board Chief M Lutfi and deputy cabinet secretary for Legal Affairs Lambock V Nahattands.

Lines of business for micro, small and medium businessmen cover among other small scale electricity power plants (up to 10 MV), wood milling industry (up to 2,000 m3 annually), primary rattan processing industries, semi-finished mangrove wooden products and non wood forest products-processing indusries.

Other lines of business had to do with fish catch by using 30 GT fishing vessels in areas about 12 miles from the coast line, fishing in open waters, fish-processing business, radio and television community broadcasting institutions, telecommunications services, small construction and construction consultation services.(*)
