ok, i admit it, i'm running out of ideas for baby names. i have another one due in 2 months, and just haven't a clue what to call him/her/it.

here are the first names of my children to date:

Emma
Jesse
Aden
Shen
Aisya
Volin
Arjuna
??

i know there's a pattern somewhere in there, but have been unable to figure it out ...

ok, start suggesting ...

well Eva is nice, but Evasaja consists of all the 1st letter of your children's names (grins!)

could be like naming your baby napoleon (yes, there's an indonesian running about with the full name Napoleon Bonaparte); you would be placing the burden of history on their shoulders!

i don't think so ... unless of course the above mentioned products were prepared to pay me a sponsor fee for a literal lifetime of advertising.

I like the name Gina for a girl.

You are so picky ...!!!!

you better believe it! it takes me ages to pick a name. my forth child had to endure the name XXXX for 3 months until i could decide on his real name. subsequently, for years afterwards, govt correspondence would still call him XXXX!

that's one of the reasons i now try to start early in picking names!

Melly is a good enough name for a common child.

More importantly, Melly Goeslaw is Indonesia's greatest female singer (even better than Evi Tamala) and song writer. Sometimes her lyrics are a bit twee, but her voice is sweet, her style is fun and she doesn't try to look like an emaciated prostitute. If the name Melly is unsuitable, take her father's name - Melky Goeslaw (orang Ambon of course).

Otherwise, get in the chicken suit and sing:

Need any help?
Woah, oh oh oh oh, belum tentu bercinta
Oh, kadang ku hanya bercanda
Oh, oh oh oh oh, masih banyak yang lain
Oh, belum tentu aku mau

Kau tahu sendiri aku paling percaya diri
Merasa tak ada mengalahkan
Banyak yang mau aku jadikan kekasih hati
Namun seleraku tiap hari berubah
