[KuKuKaChu] like i said, phases of the moon ...

[Capt. Mainwaring] standing on the bridge a midnight - throwing snowballs at the moon...
[Capt. Mainwaring] when she said "Iv'e never had it" , she spoke to bloody soon .
[Capt. Mainwaring] sat beside her was her sister , picking blackheads from her crutch
[Capt. Mainwaring] when she said "I've never had it" I said not bloody much .
[Capt. Mainwaring] That was written by Chaucer .

[KuKuKaChu] what a charmer

[Capt. Mainwaring] he certainly was
[Capt. Mainwaring] "This is a tale of Edgar Plum , who stuck a doughnut up his bum
[Capt. Mainwaring] up his finger he did ram , now he's stuck , right in a jam "
[Capt. Mainwaring] that was written by Chaucer too , or was it Auden ?
[Capt. Mainwaring] I didn't know that you were a lover of the arts KuKu ?
[Capt. Mainwaring] Us English are responsible for some particulalry fine works you know .

[KuKuKaChu] clearly, they were

[Capt. Mainwaring] Take no notice of the porridge wogs and Rabbie Burns - no one can understand bollocks of what he says .

[KuKuKaChu] aye ye canna speak ill of rabbie ...

[KuKuKaChu] i can't say that i'm a lover of the arts. certainly not hte classical arts. i do, in many ways however, consider myself an artist smile

[Capt. Mainwaring] Don't we all in our own way ?

[Capt. Mainwaring] I always put Dilli down as being a right artist .
[Capt. Mainwaring] And I wasn't far wrong

[KuKuKaChu] more arts than class

[Capt. Mainwaring] "On the hill there was a bucket , it's not ther now because someone took it " - Burns
[Capt. Mainwaring] *there

[KuKuKaChu] how poetic.
[KuKuKaChu] needed more development, i feel

[Capt. Mainwaring] "On the hill there was a Cow , it's not there now becuase it didnae moo" Burns

[KuKuKaChu] he was finsihed before i could even suspend my disbelief

[Capt. Mainwaring] Your telling me , now I read that the buggers want autonomy - what have they got to sell ? Deep fried mars bars , and mystery bags full up with old shit that no one else wants to eat .
[Capt. Mainwaring] The Scots really dilute our English culture , with their vulgarities
[Capt. Mainwaring] and fried mars bars

You didn't ! , you left it all in .

As I mentioned , I was waiting for the smelly Swiss , and may I assure you that boredom is far more dangerous than intoxication , though the two together could be disasterous .

Honestly no...not overly fond of Mars Bars anyway, I now have strange visions of Mick Jagger juggling a red hot lump of batter as he manouvers it to make a completely different type of batter....

Invented in Scotland, this dish has now become famous worldwide. It is an excellent source of fat, sugar and calories. For a seasonal variation you could also try deep frying a Cadbury's Creme Egg.

http://www.london-fire.gov.uk/fire_safety/in_your_home/chip_pans.asp

Donít muck about with hot oil if you are pissed, or in a hurry, or have kids/cats/dogs about, or a load of idiots assing around in your kitchen, because, if you spill hot oil on yourself, it will be agonisingly painful and you will be scarred & scared for life. Alternatively, you might burn down your house. Never leave a pan of hot oil unattended. Before you start heating anything up, sort yourself out with a clear safe place where you can plonk your hot oil pan to cool when youíve taken it off the heat.

Once youíve sussed all the safety implications, begin ...

Chill the chocolate bar by keeping it in the fridge, but don't freeze it.
Mix the flours and bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) together.
Add milk (traditional) or beer (which gives a lighter result) until you get a batter with the consistency of thin cream.
Heat the oil until a small piece of bread will brown in a few seconds, but don't allow to smoke.
Remove wrapper from chilled chocolate bar.
Coat completely in batter.
Carefully lower into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
Serve, with ice cream or french fries, if you're so inclined.

Partick Roulette!

A Glasgow game of chance involving the use of the Chip Pan when drunk, the aim is to avoid the pan going on fire!

I can see that there could be a possibly market for Scottish "cuisine" (if that is what you can call the assault on the digestive tract that is scottish food) in Jakarta - I think I will approach Bart with the idea - a new Scottish themed bar - "The Tongue and Ring-Piece" - selling Scottish delicacies such as deep fried mars bars , Irn-Bru , Haggis , Tatties and neeps and ground up gunge (or whatever they call it) , and a machine for dispensing Rennies .
