Tempo Interactive, Jakarta: PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (the State Gas Company) is targeting to gain two million customers by 2010.

Managing Director of the company W.M.P. Simandjuntak has said that in order to reach this target, the company requires capital expenditures of around US$1 billion or Rp9 trillion.

“I hope that it will be reached,” he said yesterday (11/15) in Jakarta.

He went on to say that the company has households and industrial circles as its target.

The Gas Company has invited Bank Mandiri to make it easier for customers to pay their bills.

“As for industry, there is a possibility that Internet banking would make payments easier,” said Simandjuntak.

Bank Mandiri will receive Rp2,500 every time a payment transaction is carried out.
