Actually Mr. Jakarta_Free_Press, I was the copy editor who approved that headline. I forget what the exact original was, but I do remember changing it to fit the space available.
But yes, the title was wrong. I usually only check the first few paragraphs to make sure the title appears consistent with the the title; actually changing the article is of course not within my domain, in particular when it involves an opinion piece. And yes, in the middle of the article -- as I discovered the next day on reading the entire article -- the word "holocaust was" inappropriate.

As to your charge that JP is involved in some sort of "campaign" to support the PKI, well, that is complete utter nonsense.
However, there does seem to be an effort on the part of certain editors and opinion writers in JP (and many other Indonesian-language newspapers) to correct the TNI's skewed version of the events of 1965-1967 in particular.
