BVITV-AP inks ABC news deal for Indonesia

CANNES -- Buena Vista International Television-Asia Pacific has signed its first ABC News programming deal with Indonesia's dedicated news channel, Media Televisi Indonesia (Metro TV), BVITV said Wednesday.
The new agreement with the five-year-old terrestrial station includes exclusive access to breaking-news programming and such magazine shows as "20/20" and "Primetime" as well as specials like "Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People," according to BVITV-AP senior vp and managing director Steve Macallister.
ABC News Digital Media Group senior vp and general manager Bernard Gershon said ABC News is dedicated to "expanding our reach and making our quality content available across the globe."
