no no no no no ... you're doing it all wrong. way too long. unless you are boiling the egg at a very high altitude, in which case it might take longer. the oslo folks should have included a slider for altitude. shocking omission.

oh, and if you like your eggs hard, it will in fact take 8 minutes. (push the hardness slider up.) but too-hard boiled eggs are not very nice, and lose nutrition, i think.
