How about free advice? What do I do when DVD Shrink Version 3.2 fails to completely encode a disc and gives the error message "cyclic redundancy check"? Apart from cleaning the disc with a lint free cloth or buying the original?

This is a software/ DVD burning problem, my profession is not duplication, its replication.
Is a big difference.
Duplication is copying discs with your PC, Replication is fabricating DVD, CD's with professional machines like for example Warner or EMI uses.
22.000 pcs output per machine per day.

But for your problem; Google: DVD Shrink Version 3.2 "cyclic redundancy check"
Gives you loads of info about it.

Followed your most helpful advice and found this suggestion for overcoming the cyclic redundancy check. It worked a treat! Thanks so much!

TO BE USED AS A FINAL RESORT to retrieve scratched DVDs.

Materials needed:
A soft cotton cloth without semen stains;
Toothpaste mixed with ABC Sambal Extra Pedas. (Brasso metal polish may be used as a substitute for toothpaste);
Dian Sastrowardoyo's Panties;
Isopropanol Alcohol;
Rinso Washing Powder;
Glass;
Ice;
Orange Juice and Vodka and Warm Bintang Beer;
Bimoli Cooking Oil;
Fresh Semen;
Hammer.

Method: "If this doesn't work it's into the "Circular File" (an Americanism meaning "The Garbage can") with you -

START:
1. Place the DVD on a firm soft surface.
2. Apply a small amount of toothpaste with a small amount of sambal extra pedas to a clean, soft cotton cloth and apply to your DVD. Rubbing very firmly in even strokes from the center outwards towards the edge. Repeat 100 to 150 times. Do this over the entire DVD turning the disc slowly in a circular manner, always going from the inside to the outer edge. Increase intensity of rubbing as disc starts to twitch.
3. Place the DVD inside Dian Sastrowardoyo panties and rub even more vigorously.

When Finished –
4. Clean the DVD either with a commercial unit (available at "McDonald's" OR your local electronics store) OR clean the DVD thoroughly with a clean cotton cloth moistened with Isopropanol Alcohol, Contact Lens Terwee cleaner OR in a bind, you may use some Windex (Windex has some additives, coloring, MSG and the like). Clean by using a firm even rubbing motion from the center outwards towards the edge. Do NOT just wipe it on the curtains or your sarong.

NEXT:
5. Using a clean piece of cotton cloth, apply Rinso to the entire disc in the same manner as the toothpaste/sambal was applied above.

Attempt to play disc.
6. If the disc refuses to play, take 1 large 12oz. glass, add just 3 Ice cubes, too many ice cubes will "water down" the mixture rendering it unsuitable for usage, then add 40% Orange Juice and 30% Vodka and 30% Warm Bintang Beer. Add a dash of fresh semen (can be extracted by using Bimoli cooking oil). The contents are to be shaken, NOT STIRED. The glass's contents are to be liberally applied over the DVD with a hammer.

Drink the dregs of the cocktail.

Steps 2 through 6 may be repeated as required to recover disc.

After 2 complete passes, step 6. may be repeated PRN. (PRN is medical lingo for "As needed" OR "Whenever you want.) :P)

Give it a try and let me know how you made out -

Petey

That same method has been used, with mixed results, by some housemates off of K. Utara to treat some sexual diseases.........
