Melly's.....Just around the corner from jaksa, next to parkit and the phoenam coffee shop....apparently run by the old gang at BFC(don't let that put you off...there are plenty of other things on offer than bali hai and no flower plant pots to have smashed over your head)...very mellow and surprisingly well-designed establishment (again, considering it's the old BFC bunch)...Also cool (as in not hot) and airy (under a long,high curved roof), half indoors/half outdoors feel, ...comfy sofas and chairs and some lesehan style booths--all done in a not too gaudy orange---cheap beer, although still limited (bintang,corona for the girlies and bir hitam) and cheap cocktails, which my companion RH professed to enjoy, small food menu (didn't look fantastic)..plus wi-fi, astro for the footie lads, a just begun book collection (perhaps Cadmus'DJ has already got a foot in the door), and an altogether less agro vibe (so far at least) than your average jaksa establishment....go twice and apparently you can become a member which entitles you to 10% off...open from 10 am-2am....well worth a visit.
