Located on the Lower Ground Level of One Pacific Place (Just by the new Kem Chicks) sits Kenny Rogers Roasters. Having always been partial to a bit of Ayam this place caught my eye.

The first time I tried to eat there I got so frustrated with the staff that I didnt even bother to eat. The second time I tried to eat there I got so frustrated with staff that I left without eating. Yesterday was my third attempt I actually ate!!

Once seated I have to say the guy looking after us wasn't to bad. However given the menu here is very limited (chicken, two types of gravy, choice of 12 "side dishes" and a muffin) I was disappointed when I was informed that they had run out of muffins, 4 choices of side dishes and one of the types of gravy.

In terms of food its not that great but the chicken is tasty. Is it tasty enough to endure the poor staff or managements inability to order stock to ensure the limited menu they have is available? The answer is not really.

Oh and before you say I am just an impatient bule ... I saw a guy I know sit down .. wait to be served and then just bugger off because of the staff. So its not just me!

My advice is to spit roast your own ayam at home.

well there are plenty of restaurants that always have things that are not available ... but given they only have a menu of 15 items at best it is a bit of a joke!

the name alone is enough of a put-off. you'd think they would try and compensate by offering a good product/service.

I used to buy take away lunches from the Kenny Rogers in Dubai, food was great but the music was shit. Being Dubai, the service was superb, but as I said, Country & Western music playing while you're trying to eat would probably have induced vomiting.

Tried it once, when Bob Sadino was still there daily to check on things.
Will never go back. So so food, nothing special really. Pretty tasteless. I'd rather eat mie ayam A liong across the street.
