Research and Media OfficerOkusi Associates require the services of a Research and Media Officer, working from our prestigious offices in Jalan Jaksa, Central Jakarta.
Candidate must:- Be extremely fluent in English.
- Be able to navigate independently through the Indonesian bureaucracy.
- Be willing to go the extra mile when looking for information.
- Be able to communicate in Indonesian.
If would be highly desirable if you have:- Fluency in Indonesian.
- More than 5 years experience living in Indonesia as a non-‘expat’.
- Background in journalism, editting, law, or research
Successful candidate would be required to:- Undertake a wide variety of research tasks on demand, with the fastest possible turn-around, often involving exposure to the Indonesian bureaucracy.
- Write research reports as required, usually very brief in nature.
- Write articles and research information for various Indonesia-related websites.
- Liaise with Singapore research office.
Successful candidate may be required to go to Singapore for training and corporate aculturalisation.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 – 5. Two weeks annual paid holiday.
This position would suit a journalist/editor/lawyer/sociologist who wants a relatively laid-back retainer job, albeit not especially well-paid. While employment is not guaranteed, and is predicated upon performance, the position is long-term and would best for someone with a long term commitment to Indonesia.

Deer Sir, I waunt to apply for the secritary job what I saw in the paper. I can Type real quik wit one finggar and do sum a counting.
