In November last year i saw - I swear I honestly saw, a large 4WD driven by an Arab Mullah pick up a prostitute in Blok M (corner near the bus station). The Arab glared at me for watching him, but he still negotiated a price then allowed the girl to get into the back!!!

What a hypercritical ASSHOLE. He will be shouting in the mosque about evil prostitutes, and he will be fucking one the next night.

Thomas L. Friedman, columnist from US, wrote an article in New York Times with the title “An Islamic Reformation”, he was thinking Islamic reformation is a must to Moslem society right now, because battle or against to terrorism or radicalism will means nothing without follow by social rehabilitation of Moslem society itself, for him “US could kill Osama Bin Laden and his bands but the other will come and replaced his place, the only way to fight or against this, is weed out the violation and it should be from Moslem people itself. And it will possibly happen if they’re (Moslem peoples) who fight their own reformation and democracy of their religion”.

The real enemy right now is interpretation authorities of religious lessons, Authorities religion institutions, which feel the “truth” ones, is enemy in a freedom of religious life, in the end, it will be back to Moslem people itself,, do they want to keep their narrow minded which end to terrorism and religion violations or they want to carry on to new Islam or Islamic reformation.

Exactly, Islam is a good religion. It provides a good path for people to follow through life.

but it is every individuals interpretation (assited by learned scholars) of islam that matters.

Why should someone think that they know more about Islam than anyone else.....

Islam is a map for life, contained in the Koran. The life you find is up to how you use the map.

What do you local indonesians think about arab putih people? If you are an arab putih do you feel like people are discriminating against you?
I ask because my husband seems to look a little bit down on them, and he says they are the cause of many problems. He seems to think they are a mix of kampungan and corrupt???
I asked him if this was because he was many times discriminated in his life for being chinese there, but he says its not its more that the arab putih mau bikin masalah. He says that all should be " indonesian". Mind you he doesnt live there much anymore!!!
What do guys experience about it?
