well, i went to pasar festival, looked everywhere, and not a hummus shop anywhere. talk about a bum steer.

so, i hopped into a taxi and went to One Pacific Place, where there is a Kemchicks. i figured, kemchicks has chick in its name, so there was a possibility they would have chickpeas.

and i was right. there it was, a lonely sight, the last 250 gram packet of chickpeas on the shelf. cost? Rp20.500. which i thought was a bit rich for so little.

no pitta bread; but they did have "afgan" bread that sort of looks like pitta, so a bought some.

chickpeas need to soak overnight, so shall let you know what happens.

Fuck's sake. You didn't find the shop? It's at the top of the escalators next to the fackin' food court.

on the bright side, i did get myself a snigger when passing the Bakrie School of Management (sic) located in Pasar Festival.

and what a jerry-built piece of shit is that Pasar.

well, the hummus didn't turn out that good. i think the chickpeas and/or tahini were too old. plus, all up, it was a bit expensive.

so, back to the drawing board. maybe i better try looking for that shop in Pasar Festival again.
