Hi,

does anyone have some info, or links to websites, where I can find some info on visa requirements for Indonesian's entering the UK.

We are supposed to be heading over to London next year to visit my brother, and would like to start researching what is required.

Thanks...

i've personally never paid any bribe to imigrasi on my own behalf. other people? that's another matter. getting people *out* seems more a problem than getting them in.

Simple enough process from what I remember. Usual bollocks of filling in a form, having a letter from somebody in the UK inviting him to the country and saying they will take financial responsibility for them. I think they also need to have Bank Account details and a letter from you will be needed. Didnt take that long to do although i remember thinking they charged a lot for a visa that was only going to be used for a week!

Did it this year. Actually very simple and once all the paperwork was handed in only took 2 weeks to be granted. Having said that we needed: letter inviting us from UK and offering us a place to stay (my dad). Letters from my work and my girlfriend's work. Bank account details from everyone and so on

You have to apply through VFS now who handle all applications for visas into the UK website: www.vfs-uk-id.com
There website is crap and can take some time to find the relevant parts.

1. your passport must not empty, 4 Asian countries min, China include.

2. invitation latter from your brother in UK might helpful, or sponsor from your company, and if you have your own business use NPWP and SIUP. that work too.

3. when you got interview, just answer what they ask you to, don't make a any lie, or enter fake document, (they will find that out)

4. prepare your two way ticket and hotel book or your brother address, together with your bank account slip, 3 month min active.

P'S if your brother living illegal in Uk, don't ever mention it dude, ever !!! and buy the ticket in Bayu Buana, they will help you to apply your visa. good luck.

I have never been abroad except to the UK. All you need is good finance report from bank (buku tabungan), min 100M RP, return ticket, letter from sponsor, and do some research first from internet (downloading the correct form and fill it). I did not use travel agent to make my visa. Went by myself to kedutaan UK-visa specialist (forgot the name, but the location is different from kedutaan) in Jakarta, it only took half an hour. . xD

Making visa is 10000000 times more easier and faster than making passport =(

Sorry, i have to disagree about that.
made passport one week max. (all documents are must complete)
but i used short cut and only 3 days i got my.

made visa, even you have all documents, they will ask you for another one if that necessary. plus interview and bad affect factor during the process will make your application unpredicted.

accept for China visa, you will get it very easy in 4 days max.
