He's right you know - they will give you a hard time - you'll certainly need a letter of no objection from the father, and whether or not she speaks english will have a bearing on how the embassy staff look at the case - remember of course that KBUK staff are mostly vinegar titted Indo girls who resent anyone else having the chance to leave (despite the fact that the UK is a miserable dump with no work).
Even the old Reg Varney's are having a hard time getting into the UK now and they used to come in by the plane load.
Remember also that she will probably never get citizenship as things stand, so she needs to keep her Indo passport up to date and stamped every two years at the KBRI in Adams Row, so that at least she retains her Indo passport.
I'm also afraid to piss on your parade - you may not find it that easy to get your wife into the UK - they will want wage slips and/or self employed contract that they will check, and they will also require proof of accomodation and funds so that at no time are you a burden to the state - she will also not be able to get child benefit (crafty the way family allowance became a benefit) while her first extension and then subsequent indefinite leave to stay visa is processed - it would have to be you who applies, but be very careful, on paper, neither of you can have had recourse to state funds or benefits during this period. Your wife also won't get her visa while your KITAS is valid, they will look to see it cancelled first.
All in all it isn't a nice process - I did it ages back and standing with a bunch of stinky silveries in the IND Croydon for a whole day just to submit documents is fucking murder.
